Talk: A Healthy Veg garden

Gardener and smallholder Sally Morgan delves into a myriad of ways to create a healthy, biodiverse growing space packed with vegetables and flowers fueled by a healthy soil. She provides plenty of ideas on how to improve your soil, mix up your planting, try different rotations, attract pollinators and natural predators plus manage pests and diseases organically.

Sally is the editor of Soil Association’s Organic Farming magazine, writes regularly for gardening and smallholding magazines and is a member of the Garden Media Guild. Sally’s blog was a finalist in the Garden Media Guild Award 2019, and she also runs smallholder courses on her organic farm in Somerset.

She is the author of several books, including The Healthy Vegetable Garden (Chelsea Green, 2021), The Climate Change Garden with Kim Stoddart (Green Rocket Books, 2019) and Living on One Acre or Less (Green Books, 2016).

Sally joins us on Friday 29 April in the Country Gardener talks tipi by the lake with a book signing in the courtyard after her talk.
