Win Free Tickets with BBC Radio Devon!

BBC Radio Devon are broadcasting live from Toby Buckland’s annual Garden Festival at Powderham Castle on Friday 27th April. Gardeners can tune in to David FitzGerald’s morning show on 103.4FM to hear the traditional 10am ribbon-cutting by Charlie and AJ Courtenay (Lord and Lady Devon) assisted by Toby and celebrity speaker Anne Swithinbank from BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time..

Toby will co-host the live programme with Fitz as the presenting pair tour the festival and bring you all the sights and sounds live on BBC Radio Devon.

Visitors to the festival are invited to join the free afternoon Q&A session at 2pm in the Speaker’s Marquee when Radio Devon will be recording the event to feature in Toby’s Sunday morning gardening phone-in on 29th April.

For your chance to go free to the festival, the station will be giving away 10 pairs of free tickets in the run-up to the festival. Your first chance to win will be on the breakfast show on Sunday 8th April and then listen out throughout the week for more chances to win a pair of tickets.

Others highlights include celebrity gardening speakers, Radio Two’s allotment doctor Terry Walton who is sharing his knowledge of home-growing fruit and veg and actor John Challis, better known as Boycie from the BBC sitcom Only Fools & Horses who joins the festival both days signing his latest book Wigmore Abbey, and sharing tales of the trials and tribulations of restoring his home – the setting for BBC sitcom The Green, Green Grass of Home in Shropshire.
