Potential volunteers for the Powderham Garden Festival on 28 and 29 April are invited to join Toby and Lisa Buckland at the Plant Centre, Powderham Castle on Tuesday 13 December at 11am for Christmas coffee and award-winning cake.

As both a thank you to previous volunteers and a welcome meeting for anyone who’s interested in helping at future events, Toby and Lisa are hosting this event where they also want help choosing the ‘official cake’ of next year’s festival. There are a variety of cakes on offer to choose from including Chocolate Beetroot Cake, Spicy Carrot Cake and even Sweet Potato Brownies. Any cake suggestions are welcome – please email lisa@tobygardenfest.co.uk.

Freinds, family and colleagues are all welcome to attend. Any volunteers will be given two tickets to the festival. Anyone unsure if they are available to assist at present is still encouraged to come along, and anyone is welcome to attend the event just to sample the delights, including a chocolate cake that won a prize for the “Best Chocolate Cake in Britain”.
