Each year, the names of societies, organisations and garden clubs that buy group tickets go into a draw, and the first out of the hat wins a talk from Toby.

Scooping top honours from 2024 was the mighty Parkham WI and last night Toby gave a talk to a packed Allardice Hall in the heart of Parkham village.

At the end of an evening of garden talk, meadow tips and laughter, Toby was kindly given a hamper full of good things to take away. ‘How the good people of Parkham knew that I’m a committed Curly Wurly, and peanut butter and jam fan I’ll never know’ said Toby, ‘I’m pretty sure I’ve never mentioned it on my radio show… but here’s to the WI and people of Parkham, who are not only generous but telepathic!”
