What’s New for 2019
BBC Gardeners’ World presenter and designer Joe Swift and Frances Tophill from ITV’s Love your Garden join us in the Speaker’s Hall along with actor and keen gardener, John Challis. Festival host Toby Buckland is here both days broadcasting with BBC Radio Devon and chairing the popular Gardeners’ Q&A.
PLUS, we’re introducing a brand-new two-day programme of specialist horticultural talks from many of the festival’s nursery men and women, on topics including orchids, roses, herbaceous perennials and climbing plants. All the talks are free to festival visitors, and guaranteed to bring you the best advice from growers in the know.
We’ve given the festival a facelift for 2019, with a new entrance at the bottom of the Castle driveway, meaning a shorter walk for visitors from the car parks, and grouped together nurseries and garden-themed exhibitors to make finding your favourite plants even simpler. We’re upgrading our land train to carry more people, so it’s no hassle getting plant purchases and goodies back to the car. Now you don’t need to leave your four-legged friend behind, as we’re going dog-friendly for the first time at Powderham in 2019! There is also more undercover space, more seating and lots more of all the things you’ve told us you love best – plants and more plants!
Sorry, too busy before Christmas to note the date. Any chance of more Early Bird tickets?
Love to see John Challis again as went to school with him.
