Get ready to plant shop

Wondering which nurseries are coming to Toby’s Garden Festival on 11 and 12 June? Lots of old favourites are planning a come-back along with some exciting new local additions from Devon.

Here’s a taster of who’s coming to the show:

Bean Place Nursery – wide range of hardy herbaceous, hardy ferns and grasses

British Academy of Floral Art – local international floristry school based just outside Exeter who are making a giant Flower Crown at the festival.

Easterhill Herbs & WillowNew for 2021, local family-run nursery based in Starcoss, growing willow, wildlife and culinary and medicinal herbs.

Gardens of Japan – specialist acer grower, plus hydrangea and orchids 

Gardeners Delight Nursery – perennials, clematis and shrubs, including lots of new and unusual varieties, all grown in North Devon.

Jurassic Plant Nurseries – Unusual and hard-to-find fruits, rare woody ornamental trees and shrubs, edible ornamental trees, bonsai starters, autumn and winter-flowering plants, dwarf figs and pomegranites, Mediterranean patio shrubs

Kelnan Plants – restios, southern hemisphere plants and the more unusual.

Lilies & Chillies – Cornish grower of perennials and bulbs, some unusual and rare, and of course lilies and chillies!

Millwood Plants – unusual plants for woodland gardens and shady places, also cottage garden plants, alpines and old-fashioned roses

Piccolo PlantsNew for 2021, succulent nursery based in Branscombe, all grown on site plus aeonium, echeveria, sedum, greenovia and more!

Pheasant Acre – beautiful bulbs, dahlia and agapanthus from award-winning Chelsea Flower Show favourite.

Plants for Small Gardens – dwarf hardy plants including alpine and rockery plants and a range of low-growing shrubs, all grown in Devon.

Pococks Roses – a beautiful range of potted roses.

Stretegate Camellias – local growers of around 500 varieties of camellia and 20 varieties of scented leaf pelargonium

Taw Valley OrganicsNew for 2021 – Formed in 2020, a North Devon nursery specialising in organic perennials and shrubs, with the nursery run on plastic free and sustainable principles,

Tortworth Plants – alpines and herbaceous perennials, including some rare and unusual varieties, plus those classic favourites

Tynings Climbers – award winning nursery selling a range of climbers to suit indoors and outdoors, also National Collection holder of passiflora.

Urban & Rural – unusual architectural plants, palms and herbaceous plants from Powderham’s in house plant nursery.

Whetman Plants – potted pinks bred in nearby Dawlish, including Garden Pinks, Cocktails, Scent First and Alpines.

Wild Thyme – a range of gorgeous scented roses, fragrant iris, unusual herbaceous perennials, scented shrubs and British wildflowers.

PLUS, we’ll have everything garden-related you need to make your garden glow, including garden furniture, art and sculpture, tools, paints and vintage gardenalia.
