Garden Festival Named Amongst Best Garden Shows of 2017!

Toby’s Garden Festival at Powderham Castle has been named as one of ‘23 Best Garden Shows of 2017’ by The Sunday Telegraph. Writing in the British broadsheet on Sunday 12th March, garden writer Bunny Guinness placed Toby’s Garden Festival alongside RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chaumont near Paris and the International Garden Festival in Berlin.

Toby says, “It’s wonderful after only three years of running the Festival to be amongst the big boys! I think it’s because what we do is unique.”

“We’re second to none in terms of nurseries and chock-full of the region’s best plants but it’s the friendly, inclusive atmosphere that makes us different,” he added.

“Set in Devon’s beautiful landscape, amongst wonderful plants, food and people we have a lot to celebrate!”

Now in its fourth year, Toby’s Garden Festival takes place on the first spring Bank Holiday weekend of the year, on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th April, in the rooms and grounds of Powderham Castle, near Exeter. The Castle was host to Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2016.

2017 Festival highlights include four speaker and demo stages hosting talks from Toby, and BBC radio and TV gardeners Pippa Greenwood and Adam Frost, plus more than 150 plant nurseries, Devon food producers, live music and a Gardeners’ Pest Clinic as well as a new VIP Marquee.
