ANNOUNCING: 2020 FESTIVAL CANCELLED

We’re sad to announce that due to continued measures to combat the spread of coronavirus the re-scheduled July event has been cancelled.

The annual festival, originally planned for May, and then rescheduled to July, will now take place on Friday 30th April and Saturday 1st May 2021.

Festival host Toby Buckland said: “Naturally we are very disappointed that 2020 will go down as the year there was no garden festival at Powderham, but the safety of our visitors, exhibitors and the wider public must come first.

“With the Government’s suggestion that social distancing will continue for some time yet, and no firm commitment as to when the restriction on large gatherings will be lifted, we have sadly had to make this difficult decision.

“We appreciate this will be a great disappointment to our exhibitors and, of course, the many visitors who attend our festival every year, all of whom love it as much as we do. We would like to thank them all for their support and understanding in these extraordinary times.

“We hope that 2021 will bring better news for everyone and we can assure everyone the festival will come back stronger than ever next April!”

All those who bought tickets will be contacted and offered 2021 festival entry or refunds and the organisers will be making contact with exhibitors next week.
