Good news for cactophiles (cactus lovers to you and me ) who can look forward to seeing award-winning Coach House Cacti exhibit at Toby’s Garden Festival for the first time.
Dorset-based Coach House is run by David Ennals supported by wife Jane (pictured below). David has been growing cacti since childhood and is acknowledged as one of the country’s leading experts on the plants. He has won the Gold Medal at the Dorset County show for the past 17 years.
David will also be giving a talk at the show, sharing his love and enthusiasm for these low maintenance, easy to grow houseplants.
“Collecting and looking after cacti is a very popular hobby and growers are passionate about their plants. We find there’s lots of interest from children who love to buy and look after the smaller varieties. Lots of people these days also want to know if they can grow them outside and in mild weather and gardens with wall protection they are keen to keep them outside.
“We’ll have a great choice of plants available at the show.”
